Celebrating their output being released across streaming platforms — Stockton’s cult creative collective Confident Hitmakers are proud to present the world premiere roll-out for the “Weeknight Leisure” visual from directors Eli Wengrin and Wes. Taken off the recently released Thank You Brian album, the group showcases their warm and bewildering sound that exudes elements and essences of AM/FM radio familiarity with an unrelenting DIY ambition that enters into the doors of tomorrow. The idle behaviors and fruits of labor are depicted in a fruition of ennui and economic entertainment that combats boredom by indulging in the various adventures one can have close to home (and close to the heart).

"Weeknight Leisure" arrives like something witnessed in prime time on Adult Swim. Confident Hitmakers leader Logan Wells is seen cooking up a hot dog that takes flight from the bun, prompting an elongated beefy-beat-down sequence as the following lackadaisical lyrics appear on screen, I've been floating with no purpose since two-thousand and five. Wells' anthem for kicking the boredom blues is seen in leisurely activities from shooting around a basketball, busting out skateboard tricks and finding candid moments for personal reflection around town. As the twilight turns to evening, Logan is seen smoking a cigar around local city centers, hanging around statues to calling up friends on his celly as he loiters beside a busy freeway. The message of the song is something of the Stockton crew's mantra which exemplifies the importance of finding fun on a budget, either independently or together as a force to be reckoned with. "Weeknight Leisure" is the hazy and lazy day/night jam that is devoted to the intrinsic and intuitive escapes that exist in both our front and backyards respectively, where the best of times await us all (without having to break the bank).

Logan Wells of Confident Hitmakers presented the following reflections on the single and visual for “Weeknight Leisure”:

“Weeknight Leisure” is probably the best Confident Hitmakers song, it's based entirely on one chord progression I wrote maybe 8 or 9 years ago and It's got a lot of sweet guitar riffs, I meant to make a video for it a long time ago but simply put I'm a busy man in my late 20s who needs lots of time to watch videos on YouTube that are titled shit like, most badass mafia hits in movies, or something. Anyways, simply put the video continues the long legacy of Hitmakers’ videos where Eli films me standing around somewhere, this time we were at a community college I dropped out of after one semester in 2012.
