Further delving deep into the multidisciplinary arts and mediums of sensuality and self-actualization — Baltimore polymath Bobbi Rush presents a debut view to "Masturbate". Filmed and directed by Michelle Rodewell with photo production by Megan Lloyd; Bobbi's showcase of exotic intimacy is seen through strobing flashes with a voyeuristic view like an arty blue film projected through the styled jagged frame of Venetian blinds.

Bobbi Rush invites the audience to share in the artist's own intimate experience of celebrating the power and liberation of their own autonomy. The central core of self-love is seen, heard and felt as a statement of profound meditations that fuse sources of sensuality and sentiment in acts of pleasure, pride and beaming with the joy of purpose. "Masturbate" elevates the erotic connection to levels that surpass the carnal where the strength of finding and actualizing bliss breaks through the boudoir lens as a personal dedication and bonding of the body, mind and spirit. Like the timeless old adage that you have to love yourself first before you can love another — Bobbi Rush's work in poetic prose, sounds and visions edifies and exalts the omnipotent power of how we can exhibit a greater degree of care and affection for others once we have centered and nurtured the principles of our own needs and candid desires.

Bobbi’s reflections:

It took a lot of burning to get me here. Of old ways, thoughts, people. Places. The masturbate project is more about honor and freedom than it is, getting off. I wanted to be the one to liberate myself in a way that only I know how, with a power that I hold in myself. My feminine, sensual, sexual and spiritual power. This piece is for myself and another, a few others. To love. To hold. To touch, to simply make real. Make felt.
