Tűz — the new creative development from San Jose artist Ashley Macachor (of Oddly Even) takes on a moniker that means both fire and to fix/stitch. The name serves as a fitting description of a sound that takes cues from the elements of earth in progressions that seek states of higher consciousness and enlightened perceptions. Presenting the debut single "Take a Walk"; Macachor and friends execute a processional psychedelic number that springs to step like a nature hike to find the mythical entrance into the proverbial William Blake-esque doors of perception.

Tűz marches and strolls with echoing chords, rhythms and reverb laden vocals that reverberate off the columns and rows of towering redwoods. Macachor instills a sense of natural intrigue like partaking in an ancient pagan mystic journey to the opening of some kind of supernatural portal. Ashley navigates the geo coordinates in a trip toward dimensions unknown that promise a host of revelations previously untold. As the song’s adventure progresses, the electric guitars become fuzzier, the chorus title is repeated with increased haste as the arrangement becomes nearer, bigger and with a greater sense of urgency. “Take a Walk” is an ode to the dreamers of the dreams and the earthbound dwellers that stand at the threshold precipice between two worlds.

Ashley Macachor of Tűz shared the following insights on the new single “Take a Walk":

Everyday we are presented with opportunities to grow as individuals.

“Talk a Walk” is about finding a light in the moments of struggle we all find ourselves in and shining it into those dark crevices, with the intention of discovering something true. It’s about a willingness to see yourself from another perspective and the focus and courage it takes to do that.

It’s about knowing you have choices and choosing a different path when the one you are currently on may not be in your best interest. This process of honesty and discovery benefits both the individual and the collective. To me this is the ultimate self-care (albeit not easy) — it’s evolution.
